BTS Wins Top 100 Artist on Billboard... simultaneous mastery of three major charts

BTS (BTS) topped the U.S. Billboard's main album and single chart, followed by "Artist 100," a chart that shows its recognition. BTS is the first group to dominate these three charts simultaneously.

Billboard said Monday (local time) that BTS has reached the top of the Artist 100 chart this week.
This is the thirteenth time that BTS has topped the chart and the sixth-largest number of all singers. It beat Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran, who topped the list 12 times each.

Earlier this week, BTS topped the Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively, with its new album "BE" and title track "Life Goes On." So far, only nine singers have topped the Billboard 200, Hot 100 and Artist 100 charts at the same time, including Drake, Taylor Swift, Adele and Ariana Grande, among whom BTS is the only group.

Billboard has recently dealt with the theme of the Five Burning Queries section of BTS, which has made remarkable progress. "Five Burning Queries" is a section where Billboard staff talk about the singer and music that has been a hot topic for a week.

"Undoubtedly, BTS is the best pop singer of the year," Mia Nazareno said. "We've released two successful albums this year and topped the charts in two languages. Even if it's not a figure, there's no artist like them who can draw passion," he said.

Jason Lipshutz said, "The song was on the top 40 radio charts and was nominated for the Grammy Awards for the first time. It's a very convincing case of being the best pop singer of the year."

Gabe Ginsberg said he was "very pleased" that BTS was nominated for the Grammy's Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for 'Dinermite,' adding that he expects them to be among the top four Grammy winners in the near future.

BTS has been releasing a series of new records with "BE," which was released on April 20. For the first time in Billboard's 62-year history, it topped the Hot 100 list with Korean songs, and all of the songs on its new album except one track were included.

I put my name on this chart.

Earlier, "BE" ranked second on the British Official Albums chart, while "Life Goes On" ranked 10th on the Official Singles chart, the second-highest ranking for BTS songs. The album topped the Oricon weekly album chart (December 7) in Japan with sales of about 191,000, making it stand out not only in the North American and European markets but also in Asia.
