The group BTS (photo) was named Guinness World Records Hall of Fame.

Guinness World Records wrote on its website on the 2nd (local time) that "We welcome BTS to the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame with joy." Guinness World Records selects the greatest Guinness record holder and announces it as a Hall of Fame member every year. As a result, the most iconic record holders from the past to the present have been listed in the Hall of Fame. Typical examples are Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon, and Pele, a soccer player who usually wins the largest World Cup.

BTS currently holds records for the most streamed group on the music platform Spotify and the group with the most followers on Instagram. With the new song "Butter" released in May, the company has set a total of 23 Guinness records, adding five records, including "The Most Streamed Song in Spotify" and "The Most Viewed YouTube Music Video in 24 Hours."

Guinness World Records said, "BTS' ability to entertain and communicate with music and dance makes them the best candidate for the Hall of Fame offering."
