Oricon Weekly Streaming #1 for 4 consecutive weeks

Big Hit Music, the agency, said BTS Japan's best album "BTS, The Best" exceeded 1.1 million copies from Japanese record companies on the 16th, the release date.

This album covers songs from singles and albums that BTS has performed in Japan for about four and a half years since 2017.

It contains a total of 23 songs, including the original Japanese songs "Film Out," "Your Eyes Tell," and "Crystal Snow," as well as the Japanese versions of "Blood Sweat and Tears," "Fake Love," "Idol," and "On." Dynamite, which swept the world last year, is a bonus track.

BTS announced the release of its best album in April by pre-release "Film Out".

The song, made by Jungkook in collaboration with Japanese band Back Number, topped the Oricon Daily Digital Single Chart shortly after its release, and also topped the weekly streaming rankings, streaming more than 10 million times a week.

It was the first Japanese song by BTS to enter the Billboard main single chart "Hot 100" (81st place), showing strength not only in Japan but also in the U.S.

BTS' new song "Butter" has also been at the top of Oricon's weekly streaming rankings for four consecutive weeks, continuing its long-term success in Japan.

According to the latest chart released by Oricon, "Butter" was played a total of 13,664,924 times in a week (7-13th), topping the weekly streaming chart.

Since its release on the 21st, the song has recorded more than 10 million weekly plays throughout the four weeks, with cumulative plays approaching 78 million.

Meanwhile, another hit by BTS, "Boy With Luv", was played about 1.96 million times during the same period, achieving 11.237,773 cumulative streaming sessions. This is the second time BTS's song has surpassed 100 million streams in Oricon's tally, following "Dynamite."
